The one about the blogs I love!

/
Hello hello! So today I decided to leave you with a few nice blogs to read for the weekend. The last couple of weeks I was away from my laptop, therefore I had to stay in touch with my daily reads through my iPad. It comes without saying that the blogs I was visiting on daily basis for this certain period, were limited to ten tops.  So I thought it would be nice to share with you which are my favorite blogs so far and why. Of course I cannot write about ten blogs, so I chose my top four!

Most of you already know Jennifer and her stunning blog. It didn’t feel right not to mention amerrymishap though, since it is one of the blogs that made me get involved in blogging myself. Jennifer cannot be described as an ordinary blogger. She mainly posts once or twice a week and her texts are short and concise. Her unique and authentic eye for design though is outstanding and therefore her blog is so widely known. Her pinterest boards as well as her instagram account are to die for and of course, her etsy shop, with her magnificent designs too!

I still remember my first impression for BlogMilk. I found it through amerrymishap blog and the pink background (previous design) caught my eye instantly.  I started following Ana and her posts and it didn’t take long to realize that I had to list it with the rest of my daily reads. Most of all I love the way Ana writes. Her words are really inspiring. She is a really good blogger because she keeps her blog as personal as needed (in my opinion). Her love for all things visual and well-designed is obvious in her posts. Furthermore, she runs one of the most successful web businesses! She and her team design blog themes which are beautiful and affordable at the same time! How cool is that? Unfortunately, I fell in love with one theme from her previous collection and now it’s gone :(

The thing I love the most about Breanna is that she is really diligent. I kind of envy that. In a good way of course.  She has decided what topics she’s interested in and she writes about them in a weekly basis. As a reader I love that because I know that every time I check her blog it will be updated. As a blogger I find her content really inspiring. Especially the be free, lance and the for bloggers series. Another reason I like Breanna’s blog is her ability to keep things simple without being afraid of colors! Her blog’s design is one of the most minimalistic I’ve ever seen and yet her posts are really fresh and colorful! Without even knowing her, I can easily say she is a hard worker and by all means she deserves to be in everyone’s favorite blogs list!

I could write one thousand words only for corinas blog. Cocorrina is definitely one of my top blogs ever. First of all, Corina is Greek which means a lot to me. When I started blogging I was all over the place. Everything happened really fast and I didn’t know what I was doing. Except for Yatzer, I believed that the world wasn’t ready to accept a Greek blogger. Seeing Corinas success is tremendously inspiring. She deserves it though because it is obvious she worked really hard to get here. Her well-designed blog in collaboration with her unique content make her stand out. My favorite fact about her is that she is really true. She writes about her feelings or daily personal life without second thoughts and this is amazing. I also love her ability to write in perfect English! (ok, I’m a bit jealous of that…) Last but not least, her concrete jewels are amazing!!! And you all know how much I love concrete… So what not to like about her? Right?

Which are your top four blogs?? I would love to hear your daily reads!

I've been meaning to upload this one for a while but always something happened. This video is my first, very very very amateur attempt to shot and edit videos. So...be gentle please!! It is shot entirely at Flora & Fauna Park in Chania, one day in October (I think...). So, enjoy!

A Bit of Green Love !

/

These two cute lovebirds are a couple of my favourite bloggers (and let's say friends too!!). They run this pretty amazing "green" blog sharing ecological tips, alternative recipes and great diy ideas! I'm on the developing process of one of them too actually.. this one, isn't it  great? You 'll find loads of amazing stuff if you delve into their blog...so do that!

This picture was taken by me on a Sunday picnic, by the way. :)

The one about :: NOT christmas

/
The last week or so I stumbled upon many many Christmas pins on pinterest. The first thought was "What the hell are all these holiday pins doing on my dashboard?".. it is not even November after all..! But then I realized some of them were really cool ideas. Like seriously cool stuff for x-mas decoration and gift packages. And then I did it!! I actually did it!! I pressed the Add+ button and made a board myself. And now, all of a sudden, I'm sitting here craving for some hot chocolate in front of the fireplace. For your information, I live in Crete, we have sun here every second day..So it's kind of soon to be even thinking of Christmas. xoxo

by the way these two diy projects are extremely amazing :: 12

The one about Decisions *

/
This time of the year is all about decisions. Just finished with my exams and getting ready to start my new semester. A new semester means, new subjects, projects and partners! A lot of decisions to be made whatsoever. And I 've always been a very bad decision maker. Yesterday I had pains in my stomach, when I had to face some of them. But I 'm proud to announce I made it and got through it sound and safe. I know, for some of you guys, decision making is much easier and probably you don't get my vibe right now. But for those of you who have hard time when it comes to decisions there are some tips you could use.
1. rock paper scissors :: not much to explain. Set an answer for each hand and..play!
2. dice :: there are many ways to use them. For example, you choose the one with the highest score etc
3. you act like a mature and adult person and consider pros and cons and all the stuff an adult should do!

I totally go for 1 and 2 ;) Ok, kidding!

Favorite Summer Pictures *

Slowly slowly we all have to realise September is here. For me is really difficult to leave my summery mood behind, even though I'm not in vacation anymore. This is the last Super-Summer post I hope.. I thought I should gather all my favorite summery photos, in order to avoid using them again in a future post! (ok, the truth is I left some unedited, just in case I want to post about my wonderful express-summer-vacation again!)
September is a very nice month. It's kind of a new year.. Planning on many projects-hopefully I ll find time round October to develop them the way I want. till then i have to concentrate on my studies. the best thing is that yesterday the weather was a little bit like fall ! that helps me a lot..

Have a great september guys! full of inspiration and creativity.

The one about heights *

I don't know about you, but I certainly have a really strong fear of heights. I've heard it's called Acrophobia, but I try to believe it's not that serious and that I can handle it. I'm not so sure I can though.
Anyways, few days ago we had a day trip to Aradaina, a really small village in southern Crete (near Sfakia). The main reason of going, was because two friends of mine wanted to bungee jump!! We heard that the second highest gorge , available for bungee jumping, is located in Crete, so why skip that? (138m and a guy there told us that now it's even higher cause of the winter stream). Yeah, it's true, I witnessed my friends falling of a cliff. It was almost a traumatic experience...and I didn't even jump!!

Summer *

Hey guys! I hope your summer is trucking along nicely. I just got back from a couple-of-day-camping and I'm pretty exhausted. We went, with my best friend Johanna, to southern Crete, at a magical place. I loved it there. It's called Kedrodasos, which means Cedar forest. There's a really long forest in front of the sea, where there is enough shadow to camp. We found a really good spot actually and it was just like being completely alone. Well, I'll upload some photos I took there, but I really look forward to having more time to post about my vacation and some extraordinary places I visited!
Till then, have fun and smile!

The one about Olympic Games * [opening ceremony]

/

There's no doubt that the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games was interesting. To tell you the truth there were some parts I wasn't that thrilled. The one with all the dancing from year to year was cool, but I didn't like the facebook updates for example! Of cource, I loved Rowan Atkinson. But the parts I really liked was the theatrical choreography and the 204 flames at the end! Anyway, it's always interesting to watch the Opening Ceremony, even if it's not that impressive, cause it's actually a part of the host country culture.

The one about Olympic Games *

Since I am Greek I'm really interested in the Olympic Games. But what I'm fascinated in the most is always the Opening Ceremony, since I love design, theatre etc. As mandated by the Olympic Charter, various elements frame the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The ceremony typically starts with the hoisting of the host country's flag and a performance of its national anthem. The host nation then presents artistic displays of music, singing, dance, and theater representative of its culture. The artistic presentations have grown in scale and complexity as successive hosts attempt to provide a ceremony that outlasts its predecessor's in terms of memorability. This excactly is what I find so interesting! All the effort they are putting into having the best Opening Ceremony ever, by having all these huge effects etc.
After the artistic portion of the ceremony, the athletes parade into the stadium grouped by nation. Greece is traditionally the first nation to enter in order to honor the origins of the Olympics. Nations then enter the stadium alphabetically according to the host country's chosen language, with the host country's athletes being the last to enter.

So if you re going to watch the ceremony, as I am, I'd love to hear what you thought of it.

Enjoy!

The one about Camping *

/
[Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. The participants (known as campers) leave urban areas, their home region, or civilization and enjoy nature while spending one or several nights outdoors, usually at a campsite. Camping may involve the use of a tentcaravan, motorhome, cabin, a primitive structure, or no shelter at all. In many parts of the worldcamping refers exclusively to the use of tents or similar portable structures.]

Summer is the best time to go camping! Since I was a little girl we used to camp all over Greece with my family. The kind of free camping, using tents, specially in reclused beaches. But as I was getting older, I had this dream about going for a roadtrip with a trailer. I think it's very inspiring driving around, stopping wherever you like, having no deadlines or even getting lost digging out small paradises. My dream roadtrip takes place in Italy.
When I come across posts concerning roadtriping and camping, caravans etc I'm always overwhelmed!

The one about Stripes *

/
That is me! In front of a colourful striped wall -Portobello Rd, London.
The reason my smile is so big is because I love stripes!!! Specially colourful ones!
I thought I should to warn you, cause there will be many many stripes to come!
As you obviously can see my header!
Here are a few striped things I have and love!

This is one of the the two sofas I have! Both are striped (ok, don't think I'm
crazy!). This is my favorite though cause it's kind of old and has a vintage look I really like! Also, here is Booky (right) and my mothers dog (Simba), taking a nap on it!

Here is Orpheus! He is a 6 month old puppy I found sleeping in front of my door  five months ago! He was pretty sick, dirty and homeless. And I couldn't let him go! So I decided to keep him and try to find a home for him! Which I did!! And now he's very happy and healthy!
Anyway, as you can see he's sitting on my beautiful striped blanket (aka braided from a friends Cyprian grandmother-he  definitely mustn’t  see this photo!) I had this winter on my bed!

As you can see my striped-collection continues! Here is my hall ikea rug! You probably have seen it already many times through the internet! But I love it!

Now this is one of my favorites! I bought this bag this April from London! There was a little store at Notting Hill with Indian stuff! It was love at first sight! A friend of mine took this photo while pic-nicing on 1st of May.

I made Red-Velvet cupcakes for our pic-nic! This one is a bit melted... But as you can see the paper is also striped!

My lemonade glass bottles are striped too!

This is not mine obviously! But, I even like candies more when they are lined up in front of a striped wall!

As you read my posts you 'll realise I'm totaly in love with colors and stripes!
