Sunday cold
/
I'm so bummed out today.. Sunday is my favorite day,but unfortunately this one doesn't have much luck to be a good one. Firstly, several projects are on the developing process for a while now and should be delivered by Thursday tops, since I'm leaving for Venice(I can't believe time passed so quickly!). Secondly, I caught a terrible cold. Sneezing, runny nose and freezing included...and the funniest thing is Booky caught a cold too. Thank God, my sweetheart is here, taking care of both of us! He's definitely a keeper :) With all these going on, I have to be strong enough to work efficiently and focused! Of course I'm working from bed today..all covered with woolen blankets. I wish you a much better Sunday guys!
Love from a cozy but not so cheerful bed ! xoxo

A countryside Sunday + an amazing building
/
Yesterday I went to the countryside, to make some benches with this method. Hopefully, I 'll post about our creations soon, because it was a hell of an experience!! Besides that, I loved the location too!! There's this team, who organised the whole thing, and built the building you see above, which is amazing cause it's built only with wood and earth, with another similar method to the one we learned!! Isn't it great? And so environmentally friendly!!! Such a huge pity it's not used as a house. I could totally see me with John and our dogs living there. I also found a perfect plant that has only heart leaves!! Seriously, how cute is that? xoxo

Because especially here in Crete, even if it's raining for days..Sundays are always sunny. Have a great day guys! xoxoWhen the rain begins to fall *
/
Fall is here, finally. Till yesterday days were too sunny. Today the rain came to remind us fall is here, with all the extras it comes with. Cloudy sky, some wind and the smell of rain, even if it's not raining hard or a lot. I have to admit I'm really happy about it. I found it really difficult this time to let summer go, and I was hoping September would have helped me earlier with that. At least the rest of the month seems to be more rainy and cloudy that the first half of it.
p.s: title comes from this song I stumbled upon and found cute to share
Have a nice Sunday, rainy or not!

Navy Sunday *
/
This is not one of these Sundays I'm able to enjoy by having a little trip, or doing something special. Unfortunately, this is an exam period. However, there is no reason to skip smiling-or playing with the camera in this case.
Plus, with all this "pinteresting" going on lately, I got a little inspired. I remembered (not that it is possible to forget, if you check my closet) how much I love navy looks. I mean, of course I love stripes etc, but navy style is a bit different. Anyway, this is me this morning playing with my camera and the mirror.

Orleander hawk moth * [Happy Sunday]
/
A year ago my dog, Booky, found this beautiful flying creature on my balcony. She kept barking and barking till she convinced me to go out and see what she had found. Luckily, the orleander was calm enough to stand Bookys bark and it was still there. Actually, it stayed a day or so. I was really impressed by the colors and of course the form of it. I nearly had ever seen a butterfly from so close, I couldn't even imagine to witness something like that, and actually have it for a day! the hardest part was to find what kind of creature it was. Two friends came by to see if they could find the answer, but the only thing they did was taking pictures. Anyway, fortunately after a post on facebook a girl sent me a wikipedia link. And there it was!!
As I was checking photos and trying to organise my folders I came across this one and I thought it would be really cool to share it with you guys! and of course a great opportunity to practise my photoshop skills, not that I did anything special, but anyway!
Here it is!
Hope your weekend was nice! Lets have a great week!

Two Sundays ago I was travelling to Kefallonia! The journey was pretty huge and exhausting so I spent my time observing people around me. On my way, I met a really nice French family. A mom, a dad and two beautiful girls, round 10 and 8 years old each. I was amazed by the way the girls where playing around on the boat deck. They were hanging from whatever is possible to hang, leaning against the railing etc.
And I couldn't help but wonder, is it my idea or the Greek children have always a supervisor/adult/parent to look after whatever they do and yelling "watch out! be careful! I told you not to do this! " ?
I remember when I was a child I was always barefoot playing in the backyard and no one was so obsessed to supervise me. All my friends parents, and specially moms, where always so overprotected. Anyway, I m not a parent so I can't have a fully formed opinion about that. But I strongly believe that parents should trust their children. Otherwise, the children will always feel secure to do whatever they think, only because their mom will be behind them to catch them the exact moment before jumping of the cliff.
Just saying, cause I was so positively impressed by the french parents I met. Maybe I m wrong though. How did you grow up?

This is the perfect day to take a walk in your city! Take pictures of it! Observe all its flaws and try to love them! You know, even the ugly buildings or the old ones. Everything that constitute your city's personality! It's so nice to love your hometown or the city you live for the past few years! It's part of your everyday life. And cities build relationships with their residents.
So work on that!
The thing I love about my city, even my neighborhood, is the intimacy I feel during the year with people round here. When I walk my dog every morning I collect almost ten"Goodmorning Anna-Rosa" and the half of them are turning into a conversation after a while! It's so overwhelming! I like when people are open and companionable.
I don't know how do you feel about that! You might love the quietness of your city and your privacy perhaps. An more
impersonal point of view.
Everything is possible and that's what makes cities different and unique.
Another thing I love about Chania is I always find something new that I have never seen
or heard before. It's like it keeps little secrets and reveals them slowly slowly, so you never get bored.
What about your city? Do you feel like you know everything already about it?
I certainly don't!
Have a great Sunday!

Happy Sunday!!
This is the first Sunday blogging on MyLifeBox and I'm really excited about it!
Sunday is my favorite day! I know that many people hate it because Monday comes right after, but I still believe it's the best! It's the day we all gather to eat or we can go for a pic-nic, if the weather allows it! It's the best day to sit in and do nothing!
That's why I chose to have a Happy Sunday column every week. I haven't really figured out what is going to be about. I guess it will be related to my Sunday plans! Or it can also be something about Sundays getaways !
Anyway, we'll see how it goes together!
For now it's still Sunday 8th of July, the weather here in Chania is beautiful -I wish you the same wherever you are- and I'm so jealous of all these people going to the beach right now. But unfortunately, as much as great Sunday can be, today I have to work on my Landscape Architecture project and on my house rearranging -which by the way is killing me the last week, but I'm also very excited about it (of course I'll post about that soon too) !
